"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit."

Glasgow City Mission’s purpose is
to make a positive and direct impact on the lives of vulnerable
people. We would be unable to achieve what we are able to
do without the willingness and commitment of our volunteers.
We require volunteers to perform various tasks including
working in The
Shieling and in our Child & Family Centre. It is important that our volunteers
share our aim and are in sympathy with the Christian values
and ethos of Glasgow City Mission. |
“Being a volunteer at Glasgow City Mission
is a blessing and a humbling experience. The people who
use the services face very difficult circumstances and it
is a privilege to get to know and work with them. I have
been so encouraged to see how God is working in their lives
to bring hope and transformation.”
Heather Irving, volunteer.

The Shieling – City Centre |
The Shieling provides
a place of safety for homeless people, women involved in
prostitution and for other people in crisis. This project
relies heavily on the input of volunteers and we usually
ask for a commitment of one evening per week.
