"Blessed God! His love is the wonder of the world."
- Psalms 31v21 |

Our aim at Glasgow City Mission is to provide more than
just physical care.
At each of our projects, we aim to offer hope to people
who may be experiencing difficulties in their lives. The
Shieling works with people who are homeless or vulnerable,
offering not only practical care, but spiritual hope as
well.
Our Child &
Family Centre offers quality childcare in a socially
deprived part of Govan. Our services enable parents and
carers to seek employment or go onto further education,
in an area where 45% of children live in workless households.

It can take a long time for people to overcome
their problems, but the support and encouragement that people
receive from our staff and volunteers can help people start
to turn their lives around. We aim to help people, no matter
their circumstances or what has gone before. We do not judge
people on their past, but try to ensure that their future
will be a better place.
As a Christian charity, we do not force our religious beliefs
on those who come to us for help. What we do is share the
hope that motivates our work – the belief that there
is a God who loves us. We respect each person’s right
to freedom and dignity, while at the same time hoping that
they will come know that God loves them.

We aim to make a real difference by providing
Christian care that can transform lives.
“I love that Glasgow City Mission is a Christian
organisation, where we can speak and demonstrate hope in
people’s lives. It is truly exciting to see people
take small steps towards fuller lives.”
Ewan Clydesdale, Project Manager.
