We at Glasgow City Mission are blessed to work with some incredibly talented guests. Before the Covid-19 pandemic we ran an art club as part of Urban, our moving on space. During the pandemic, we have supplied materials to our guests to encourage them to continue with their painting. We are delighted that we will be showcasing some of these at an online art auction hosted on Zoom on Thursday 20 May at 3pm.
In addition to these original paintings, we will be selling eight high quality prints that have been gifted to us by Vasu. Vasu attended the Urban art class, where she was inspired to try painting with watercolours for the first time. She found her niche and now creates incredible, intricate paintings, mostly of buildings
. As a thank you to us, she has gifted these prints of her work to be sold for the benefit the Mission. Three of these prints are pictured here. We are also very excited because we have commissioned Vasu to paint our building at Crimea Street.
