Head of Projects

We want to see our city and its people flourish, where people are accepted and can experience real chance in their lives. As part of our ambitious 2016-2020 Who We Are, Where We’re Going service plan, we commit to examining ways in which we can better serve those caught up in poverty.

To enable this vision to be realised, we have committed to growing our services, and to ensuring we have the right ratio of staff/client one-to-one engagement to see real change in people’s lives. To help us with this, we are excited to advertise for a new position: Head of Projects.

Over the past five years Glasgow City Mission has grown dramatically in its role and influence within the city. Glasgow City Mission has three established and growing projects: City Centre Project, Child & Family Centre and Glasgow Winter Night Shelter.  In addition, we are helping to influence and shape the future of homeless service delivery in Glasgow. This has created multiple opportunities for additional projects which could significantly improve the lives of the men and women we work with. Glasgow City Mission is seeking a Head of Projects to assist in this exciting time in the charity and city’s development.

We are excited to advertise for a Head of Projects to help us realise our vision of seeing our city and its people flourish.

  • Praying for the city

We are very grateful to everyone who joined us on a freezing Tuesday night to walk the streets and pray for God’s transforming power. Those who were rough sleeping seemed pleased that people were thinking of them and were out praying for them.

Blog

  • Do people ever really choose to sleep rough?

As the Glasgow Winter Night Shelter closes its doors for another year, Grant, our Chief Executive, examines some of the causes of homelessness, and what needs to be done to make a long-term difference.

  • Your will be done

God is at work in Glasgow and His rule and reign is having an impact on rough sleeping. But the job isn’t done, writes Grant in his latest blog, and he asks us all to join together in prayer.
