Management Team

Management Team

Our Management Team oversees the work of Glasgow City Mission’s three projects. Each has their own area of responsibility and are supported by over 50 passionate members of staff and approximately 200 invaluable volunteers.

Charles Maasz – Chief Executive

Charles was appointed chief executive in 2019 after a career as a Commercial Property Surveyor having first studied Land Economics. He also has experience in hospitality and full time Christian ministry. A preacher in the Baptist Union he is as at home in the scriptures as he is on his motorbike – the Rev rev!

Carol-Ann Frame – Director of Finance and Deputy Chief Executive

With 27 years’ employment at the Mission there’s not much Carol-Ann doesn’t know about profit and loss accounts and balance sheets. She has seen a huge increase in revenue, costs and staffing especially in the last 10 years. As our deputy chief executive she is also the proud owner of the longest job title in the Mission!

Phil Wray – Head of Projects

Phil joined the Mission in 2018 to oversee the work of our three projects. He also looks at potential future projects that may benefit our guests. He’s organised and can organise, especially when he populates a spreadsheet. A top communicator he prefers memes to words but still gets his point across.

Susan Robertson – Operations Manager

Susan has worked at the Mission for over 20 years and basically ensures everything works smoothly for the rest of us! Whether it’s logistics, IT, HR or admin you’ll find Susan in the middle directing operations. The Mission is her favourite place in the world, closely followed by Tenerife.

Ewan Clydesdale – City Centre Manager

Ewan has been manager of our city centre project for more than 20 years. His heart for our guests and attention to detail ensures Crimea Street is a positive place for our project team to work and for our guests to come for support. He can also cook a mean Christmas dinner and is particular about his coffee.

Anne Scott – Child and Family Centre Manager

Anne is a legend in Govan and Linthouse. She has worked at the Child and Family Centre for over 30 years and takes great pleasure in the community that has been created. She likes nothing better than working with children and grandchildren of those she taught years ago. To be clear, she started young!

Elyse MacKinnon – Winter Project Manager

Elyse has a heart for the lost and likes nothing better than finding a solution for them. Previous experience at home and in the USA have made her the ideal person to head up the Winter Project team. Although dressing almost exclusively in black Elyse is actually extremely positive, proactive and energetic.

Jack Geddes – Marketing and Fundraising Manager

Jack heads up the marketing and fundraising team. It is their job to make sure the admin team are kept busy with donations and enquiries. He is the point of contact for donors, churches, businesses and anyone else who wants to lend a hand. He also enjoys poking fun at his colleagues through these little bios.

Heath Reynoldson – Volunteer Coordinator

Heath is charged with keeping our volunteers organised, informed and enthused. Our main contact if you are interested in joining our volunteer family, Heath will be happy to discuss the options available and help you through the process. Despite being Australian he’s actually quite understandable.
