Glasgow City Mission works in partnership with a registered charity called Acts 435 which connects people who are in urgent financial need with people who want to give, through their giving website.
Since the beginning of 2022, we have enjoyed a highly fruitful partnership with Acts 435. As a partner with Acts 435 we are permitted to upload requests for personal funding on behalf of our guests.
For example, £120 for a bed, £150 for children’s uniform and clothes, £200 for a new cooker or fridge. Each need is specific to one of our guests and is an immediate and practical need they have; often following a move into a new tenancy. Acts 435 acts as a sort of Christian crowd funding page, where thousands of Christians across the UK can donate directly, knowing the money is going to support that specific person’s need. It is a highly successful model, and one which benefits our guests. We highly recommend them as a partner.
