City Centre Project
We’re still open from 10am to 4pm. However, instead of our normal Drop-in we have moved to a door service with takeaway food. At the door we will be able to establish the needs of our guests. We will encourage people to stay home after they have received their food, however, if they have an urgent need we have the capacity inside for limited advocacy.
Socially distanced walks will provide an opportunity to meet with guests on a one to one basis. This helps with the mental health of our guests and enables us to find out individual support needs.
We continue to stay in touch with guests with phone calls to help them know they’re not alone and our counselling service is still in operation. Online activities, such as Bible studies, prayer times, cookery lessons, and English classes continue on Zoom.
Our street outreach team is still fully functioning at this time. The team are out on the streets of Glasgow 11 times a week to engage with those in need and encourage them to seek the help they need.
