Welcome to our Virtual Kiltwalk page! Now that you are here why not consider taking part and registering for the event using the link at the bottom of this page. The event is planned for 23-25 April, although this can be flexible depending on your circumstances.
We are asking for as many people as possible to take part individually, or in a family bubble, to raise funds for us to continue to adapt and serve our guests through this pandemic. The huge incentive is that Tom Hunter’s Foundation will add an incredible 50% extra to whatever total each person raises.
The registration fees are:
£12.80 per adult; £6.50 for those from 5 to 15 years old and free for under 5s.
Registering is a five part process and at the third stage you should select “Glasgow City Mission” as your charity. Once you have registered we will be notified and we will be able to keep you up-to-date with news regarding our participation in the Kiltwalk. It will also allow us to arrange to gift you our Glasgow City Mission Kiltwalk t-shirt to wear proudly when you’re taking part and then to keep as a memento!
As the Kiltwalk is virtual you can undertake any challenge or activity. So maybe you would want to:
- Run
- Walk
- Climb a hill
- Dance
- Have a family scavenger hunt
- Do a family relay
- Keep fit exercises…
You may also be interested in joining our 21 for 21 in 21 challenges? We plan to get teams of 21 people to complete the same challenge involving 21 miles, 21 minutes, 21 lengths etc for the year 2021. Maybe you could get 21 friends, family or colleagues together to devise your own 21 for 21 in 21 challenge? If you have ideas or questions about this please email jack@glasgowcitymission.com.
In whatever you choose to do, please make this a fun experience and be assured your fundraising, topped up by 50%, will be of direct benefit to the guests of Glasgow City Mission.
