Kiltwalk 2020

You may have heard that the Glasgow Kiltwalk on 26 April has been postponed. At this time we have no idea when the walk will be held but the organisers have confirmed that it will take place as soon as they are able to rearrange it. So please look out for this news in the coming months and, if you’re able, join our Glasgow City Mission team on the day or feel free to sponsor one of our walkers. Every penny raised plus an amazing 50 per cent top-up will come to us!

There are three options for the Kiltwalk:

  • The Wee Wander (6 miles) – Levengrove Park in Dumbarton to Balloch
  • The Big Stroll (13 miles) – Clydebank to Balloch
  • The Mighty Stride (26 miles) – Glasgow Green to Balloch

More details of the three routes will be supplied in your walker pack which will be sent to you before the event.

Registration instructions

Go online to the Kiltwalk and register. When you register you should select 'Glasgow City Mission' from the available charities. There is a registration fee of £12.80 for the Wee Wander and £31.69 for the Mighty Stride and The Big Stroll, under 5s are free.

You will then be guided through creating an Everydayhero page which you can personalise with a picture and your story of why you are walking for Glasgow City Mission.

Then join our team which is 'GLASGOW CITY MISSION KILTWALK 2020'. We will be arranging for our walkers to do so in a team and gifting each walker a branded tee shirt to identify those from Glasgow City Mission.

Why are we walking?

All money raised will be used to provide practical support for our guests battling homelessness, poverty and social isolation such as our evening meals, lifeskills workshops, back-to-work support and much more – find out more about What We Do

More information will be provided as we get nearer to the events, however, any queries in the meantime please contact Marketing and Fundraising Manager Jack Geddes in the office or email him at jack@glasgowcitymission.com.
