Volunteers make the difference

volunteers help in a variety of ways at glasgow city mission

We want to say a big thank you to our army of volunteers at Glasgow City Mission. Quite simply, the work of the charity couldn’t take place without their dedication, passion and commitment.

Over 220 people volunteer each week at Glasgow City Mission’s City Centre project and Child & Family Centre. During the winter months, even more join us to support the Glasgow Winter Night Shelter.

Our volunteers come from a wide range of church denominations and each volunteer comes to live out their Christian faith in a very practical way. Their actions and their words reflect Jesus’ love for the people we serve.

From preparing food to spending quality time listening to our clients, or collecting unsold food in our van at the end of day to helping people manage their money, our volunteers support our small staff team and do amazing things week in week out.

This Volunteer’s Week, we want to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers!
