Spring Connect: Moving Forward

In this issue of Connect, we celebrate the many ways our guests are moving forwards.

In the opening column Shaw, Chair of our Board, reminds us that from the smallest action to the grandest gesture – it all counts. This is echoed by Clare when describing Urban – which is our ‘moving-on’ space. Clare says, “Some take baby steps, others take Jonathan Edwards style leaps. We celebrate every step.”

We’re delighted to be able to share Kathleen’s amazing story of transformation with you. Meanwhile at the Child and Family Centre, your support is enabling us to give children in Govan the best possible start in life.

Read about how successful partnership-working at the Glasgow Winter Night Shelter is getting some of the most vulnerable men and women in Glasgow into suitable accommodation.

    Kiltwalk 2020

You may have heard that the Glasgow Kiltwalk on 26 April has been postponed. At this time we have no idea when the walk will be held but the organisers have confirmed that it will take place as soon as they are able to rearrange it. So please look out for this news in the coming months and, if you’re able, join our Glasgow City Mission team on the day or feel free to sponsor one of our walkers. Every penny raised plus an amazing 50 per cent top-up will come to us!
