Daily Reflections
Meditative thoughts to start your day
Our Daily Reflections are meditative thoughts written and produced by the chaplaincy team at Glasgow City Mission.
They are shared and circulated internally across the organisation so that staff, volunteers and guests can enter into and engage with a weekly spiritual rhythm. Each Monday morning, a new set of Daily Reflections will appear below and we invite you to join with us as we take time each day to focus on what God might be saying to us in both our personal lives, and as we work collectively to serve the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in the city.
Daily Reflections: Luke 24:36-49
Last week we journeyed through Holy Week together. We looked at the betrayal of Judas, the importance of prayer in our lives, the denial from Peter, the brutality of Jesus’ death all taken in silence, the Sabbath, and the resurrection of Jesus! Now, we look at a world with a risen King and how the disciples coped with encountering Jesus after his resurrection. It is a joyous moment but also one full of scepticism and very real human reactions.

Daily Reflection Videos
Until June 2022 we produced our Daily Reflection material as short, bitesized videos, that would be released each day, first thing in the morning. After some consideration, we decided to terminate the production of the videos and direct our energies to media production elsewhere. The catalogue of videos still exists however and can be found on our Youtube Channel or by using the adjacent video player. Please feel free to use these videos however you see fit.
