Prayer news: September 2026

Thank you for joining with us in prayer for men, women and families affected by homelessness, poverty and addiction.

City Centre

• Please pray for protection over our homeless community on the streets, as there have been some deaths recently.
• Pray for guests who have got their permanent tenancies but have no furniture and need to start paying all their bills. Pray for provision and wisdom for them.
• Pray for our guests who are actively seeking jobs. Pray that the correct opportunities present themselves and that the guests can demonstrate their worth to employers.
• Pray for some of our guests who are waiting on family reunion results. Pray that these are positive and that the family units can be reformed.

Child and Family Centre, Govan

• Please pray for the 20 Superheroes who have now graduated into a youth group on a Monday afternoon to continue to grow in their Christian journey. Many of these young people have started High School so we pray for more godly influences in their lives.
• As a result, we have had a new influx of P4-P7s who are the new Superheroes. Please pray for them as they begin their journey alongside our staff.
• Pray for the children who have been with us in the family groups and are now in Primary 1. Pray they find good friends and are able to learn all the subjects they need to be able to prosper.
• Pray for the new women’s group starting on Friday 4 September. We will be bringing the word of God as we chat over coffee. We have three ladies and one of them gave her heart to Jesus during the Summer Family Holiday Club.
• Please pray for the wellbeing and health of our staff. Pray for robustness and lack of illness.

Winter Project

• Please pray for the Scottish Government and Glasgow City HSCP. They are both under pressure presently, so pray for wisdom for them and for Christian politicians who are working within that environment.
• Pray for the Winter Project jobs that are now live. Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead people to the roles and pray for those who are considering applying.
• Pray for those who are still rough sleeping. Pray for the right accommodation to become available and support to be put in place for them.
