Latest prayer news

Please see below for our latest prayer news. This is also available to download: February prayer news.

City Centre
  • Please pray for the opportunity to connect and develop relationships with new guests who are coming to our lunch and dinner drop-ins.

  • Give thanks for one of the girls we are working with who will be going into rehab on Monday. Pray that she will settle quickly, complete the program and come out to live life to the full.

  • Pray for another girl that is waiting for further rehab support. Pray that the right support becomes available for her soon.
Child and Family Centre, Govan
  • Please continue to pray for the Child and Family Centre nursery staff. Pray that they will find new jobs for after the nursery closes in June.

  • Pray that the parents of the children with additional support needs in the nursery will take up the support available from Differabled Scotland.

  • Pray for good staff relationships and morale as all our staff work through this difficult season.

  • Pray for our English classes. Pray that those who come along learn quickly to help them integrate into the community more easily. Also, pray that news of the class goes out to other people who would benefit from coming along.
Overnight Welcome Centre (OWC)
  • Pray for the vast number of guests we are seeing. We have now seen more than our total number of last year. Their situations are desperate and the move on process is slow. Many guests are suffering with anxiety because they are losing hope.

  • Pray for a breakthrough at government level to address the housing crisis announced by Glasgow City Council.

  • Pray for the OWC staff. The project has been challenging for them this year. Many will take annual leave throughout February; pray that they are able to rest well.

  • Pray that all our guests, staff and volunteers will encounter God in the midst of all the challenges we face.

Thank you for supporting us in prayer.
