Latest prayer news

Please see below for our latest prayer news. This is also available to download: September prayer news.

City Centre
  • Please pray for those rough sleeping in Glasgow; the numbers have risen from single figures to over 30. Pray also for Glasgow City Council who have the responsibility of accommodating those who are eligible.

  • Pray for our women’s work. We are seeing women living chaotically and with serious mental health issues. Pray also for a number of women who are involved in court cases.

  • Pray for our Rehab Pathways Team. Pray for the new guests we encounter and pray that they are hungry for change in their lives. Pray for the guests engaging with us in Crimea Street and for those presently in rehab.
Child and Family Centre, Govan
  • Pray for the new groups that have started including the Family ESOL Group on a Wednesday afternoon, the coffee afternoon for parents and the Mini Heroes club on Tuesday in the local primary school.

  • Pray for the new children to settle into our nursery and the children who have left us and are transitioning to primary school. Pray for the high school, as there is a meeting this week to talk to us about delivering resilience workshops within the school curriculum.

  • Pray for the ongoing men’s work and the men’s monthly event. Pray for good relationships between those who come on a Friday and those who come to the monthly social groups.
Overnight Welcome Centre (OWC)

Our OWC jobs are now online. Pray that the Holy Spirit leads the perfect people to apply to join our team for this winter’s project.

  • Pray for ongoing partnership agency meetings as we all continue to support those who may be at risk of sleeping rough this winter.
  • Continue to pray over the work of our Housing Settlement Officers. Pray for the guests they are supporting to move into tenancies. Pray that they would settle well and integrate into their communities.
