Latest prayer news

Please see below for our latest prayer news. This is also available to download: May prayer news.

City Centre

  • Please pray for the mental health of our guests. Give thanks for the medical professionals who have intervened in one case, and pray for healing.

  • Give thanks that we can now accommodate a larger number of guests for lunch and dinner. We are delighted to be gradually increasing what we offer, and to be welcoming more guests back into the Mission.

  • Please pray for our kitchen teams who prepare, cook and serve meals. Pray that the right person comes to work with us as our new cook. We trust in God’s timing and plan, and eagerly await this person joining our team.

Child and Family Centre, Govan

  • Please pray for the refurbishment work that will happen at the Child and Family Centre in June. Pray that it will be completed quickly, with as little inconvenience as possible.

  • Pray for the 11 children that will be graduating from our nursery and going to school this June.

  • Pray for the interviews taking place and the recruitment of a new project worker and a maternity cover nursery worker in the coming weeks.

  • Pray that the garden area in Elder Park is completed on time for the Family Holiday Club starting in the summer holidays.

Overnight Welcome Centre

  • Pray that a guest we have supported into a flat would settle in quickly to the accommodation and the surrounding area. It is common for guests to struggle when they have been in hotel accommodation for some time.

  • Give thanks that a guest who has been struggling to engage with services has finally made some progress, and pray that this would continue.

  • Pray for a guest struggling in addiction as we continue to try to link in with them.

  • Pray for several guests in short-term temporary accommodation who are expecting babies shortly.

Thank you for supporting us in prayer.
