Would you like to help people in Glasgow and join a work that stretches back almost 200 years?
We have over 200 volunteers who give their time and skills to run various projects across the city – we couldn’t even begin to measure their value and their impact down the years on countless lives. Some have been volunteering with us for more than 20 years.
Our volunteers come from a huge range of life and church backgrounds but they share a common goal –showing God’s transforming love in action amidst some of our city’s most vulnerable people. Relationships are at the heart of all we do, so whether you want to volunteer at our City Centre Project, the Child and Family Centre or the Glasgow Overnight Welcome Centre, we are looking for people who are good listeners.
Considering joining the family? We are always looking for more people to catch the vision and join our work. Have a read of our volunteering pack and if you think it’s for you, fill out the online application form. If successful, we’ll invite you to an informal interview where we can match your skills and availability to our services.
Because we seek to build meaningful relationships with our guests, we’re looking for volunteers who are able to become a regular part of a team and give a year-round commitment. Unfortunately this means we aren’t able to accommodate offers of help for Christmas or for one-off visits.
Volunteers should be in sympathy with our Christian ethos and have an active Christian faith.
