Acts 435 is a Christian-based online platform that connects generous individuals with people in need. 100% of funds go directly to the recipient, and all admin costs are covered by gift aid.
We are proud to be a key partner of Acts 435. This year alone, we have raised more than £4500 for individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, isolation and addiction through Acts 435. These funds have gone towards providing essential resources and services for our guests, often to support their move into new accommodation. This might include raising funds to buy a washing machine, fix a cooker or install accessibility features.
Glasgow City Mission’s partnership with Acts 435 helps guests like Robert*. Robert came to us when he was homeless. He used our free drop-in lunch and dinner services as well as engaging with our support groups and Bible study group. When Robert eventually moved into his first secure tenancy, he needed carpets for the living room, bedroom and hall to cover the cold, bare floorboards. Through Acts 435, £200 was raised to purchase these. Robert wrote to us shortly after his carpets were fitted, saying “We would like to thank you all SO much for the kind help you gave us for our carpets. My wife, who has now joined me in Scotland after four years apart, is also so happy because it means the flat is now warmer and she really feels the Scottish cold. It makes me happy to be able to do this for our flat and we are happy and grateful to you all. Thank you!”
We are delighted that Robert found the help he was looking for, and we look forward to helping more of our guests meet their practical needs through Acts 435.
